Church

Built to a design by W.S. Hicks, on a site gifted by the Rev. J.E.E. Bates, with other sites for a priest's house, and church hall. Originally a chapel of ease within Earsdon parish, and created a Conventional District during 1940s. Parochial boundary changes placed Holywell within Seghill and Seaton Delaval Parish in 1957. Shortage of parish funds, and reduction in Diocesan complement of assistant clergy, has resulted in there being no Priest-in-Charge since the middle of the 1960s.
